Veteran DJ Mike Read presents a new music show for TV…
Featuring lots of stars that feature in many Radio Heritage Charts, it comes as welcome news to viewers and music fans who have been starved of seeing artists perform during these pandemic times.
Many music-orientated shows like Top Of The Pops and The Old Grey Whistle Test are now no longer being made and fans around the country have been calling for some time to have a new music show on TV.
Now their prayers have been answered.
In it’s heyday, Top Of The Pops attracted 15 million viewers a week but when it was pitted against a well-known soap, it’s viewing figures plummeted to around 4 million.
The Heritage Chart TV Show airs on Freeview (channel 7) on 15 local TV stations at 7pm on Sunday 6th February 2022 and at the same time and day throughout February.
On the first show recorded this month, Tight Fit. The Vapors and The Starjets perform in the studio.
There are live interviews with Paul Young and Limahl and videos from an array of stars including Paul Young & Los Pacaminos, Limahl, Sweet, Tears For Fears, The Real Thing, Chris de Burgh, Eddy Grant, The Members, The Automatics, and The Jive Aces.
